INTRODUCTION

The Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine was born in 2003 from a meeting attended by sixteen leading institutions in traditional Chinese Medicine organized by the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. It was during this meeting that a memorandum of understanding was signed by all sixteen founding institutions to form the Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine (CGCM). The CGCM has since grown to 166 member institutes and 29 industrial affiliates.

· Develop platform technologies required for advancing Chinese herbal medicine by joint efforts.
· Facilitate the interaction and collaboration among different institutes in advancing Chinese herbal medicine by sharing information.
· Promote high quality research and development of Chinese herbal medicine internationally.
· Assist industry which is interested in developing Chinese herbal medicine products and regulatory agencies around the world.
· Bring Chinese herbal medicine into cornerstone for developing future medicine (West meets East)

                      Invitation to the 21st CGCM Meeting, Thailand

The Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine (CGCM) is positioned as a global, non-profit, non-discriminatory and non-political organization, with a mission of advancing the field of Chinese herbal medicine to benefit human kinds and aims to promote the global development of herbal medicine through the joint efforts of different academic, regulatory and industrial sectors around the world. We now have 166 member institutes and 29 industrial affiliates, distributed in different parts of the world.

The 21st Annual Meeting is going to be held at King Naresuan the Great Exhibition and Convention Center, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand on August 19 – 21, 2025 (Tuesday – Thursday). The Meeting is organized by Naresuan University. It provides a platform for regulatory-industrial-academic exchanges and potential research collaborations on various areas of herbal medicine among our worldwide members and guests. You are cordially invited to attend the Meeting in Naresuan University on August 19 – 21, 2025. You may wish to take this opportunity to meet the experts in the field of Chinese Medicine to exchange updates of herbal medicine development at this Meeting.
